Privacy Policy

This policy covers RoozPace and RoozClass (together, the “Services”), which are currently provided on an invitation-only pilot basis.

RoozPace is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any school, school district, childcare provider or program.

Account information: your name, email address, password (stored by our authentication provider — we never see it in plain text), your time zone, and — if you sign in with Google — the basic account details Google returns.

Family and child profiles: the names, nicknames, school, grade, classroom, schedules, routines, dietary or meal visibility preferences, and pickup defaults you enter for each child.

School and classroom information: schools you add, classrooms you create or join in RoozClass, classroom rosters, contacts you add manually, volunteer roles and sign-ups, supply requests, and classroom updates you post.

Pickup and coordination information: pickup plans, destinations and saved locations you pin, authorized pickup people, pickup codes, trip status, and who you choose to share a trip or plan with.

People and connections: parents you connect with, the groups and lists you build, and the per-category permissions you grant them.

Content you submit: photos, documents, PDFs, scanned flyers, notes, tasks, events and messages you add or upload.

Email you forward: when you use your private RoozPace forwarding address, or a RoozClass classroom address, we receive and store the message — sender, recipients, subject, body and attachments — through our inbound email provider, and process it to extract events, tasks and announcements.

Classroom email: mail sent to a classroom address is accepted only from approved classroom members or contacts. Mail from anyone else is quarantined rather than processed.

Google Calendar: if you connect Google, we store the access and refresh tokens needed to sync, and we read and write the calendars you select in order to keep RoozPace and your calendar in step.

Menu and school sources: we fetch publicly available school menu and newsletter pages you connect, and store the resulting entries.

We record operational data needed to run the Services: sync runs and their outcomes, email delivery and bounce events, notification deliveries, push notification device tokens if you enable push, and error reports.

Approximate or precise device location is used only while you explicitly start a pickup trip or location share, for the duration of that session, and only with the people you selected.

To provide the Services: organize your family's schedule, extract information from what you forward or upload, sync calendars, send reminders and notifications, and coordinate pickups and classroom activity.

To operate and improve the pilot: diagnose failures, fix bugs, and understand which parts of the product are working.

To communicate with you: account, invitation, approval and service email sent from our transactional sending domain.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your family's content to advertise to you.

SMS and text notifications: If you choose to opt in to text notifications, RoozPace may send you SMS messages about your sign-ups, reminders, schedule changes, classroom/community updates, and related account activity. Message frequency varies based on your activity and notification preferences. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to a message. Reply HELP for help.

We do not share, sell, rent, or provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS consent is optional and is not required to create an account or use RoozPace. Users may decline SMS and use available non-SMS notification methods instead.

With people you choose: sharing is off by default. Other parents, classroom members or pickup contacts see only what you explicitly share, at the permission level you set, and you can withdraw it.

Within a classroom: content sent to a RoozClass classroom address, or posted to a classroom, is visible to that classroom's members and administrators according to their role.

With service providers that make the product work: our cloud database and authentication host, our inbound and outbound email providers, and Google (only if you connect Google Calendar). They process information on our behalf to deliver the Service.

For legal reasons: if required by law, or to protect the safety, rights or security of users and the Services.

We keep information for as long as your account is active and you keep it in the product. You can delete children, items, classrooms, connections and shares from within the app at any time; deleting a record removes it from the Services.

Some operational records — such as email delivery logs and legal acceptance records — are kept as a permanent audit trail.

Because the Services are in active development, pilot data may also be migrated, reset or removed as described in the Pilot Program Terms. Keep original copies of anything important.

Contact us using the method below to request deletion of your account and associated data.

Access to your data is enforced at the database level: records are scoped to your account, your family and the classrooms you belong to, and requests are authenticated before any data is returned. Location sharing sessions expire automatically.

No online service can be guaranteed secure. We make no certification or compliance claims for the pilot.

Access and correction: your profile, children, schedules, sources and connections are all editable in the app.

Export: Settings → Privacy & security includes a data export of your profile, children and items.

Sharing controls: Settings → Privacy & security and the People screens control what other parents can see.

Notifications: Settings → Notification settings controls what we send and when.

Deletion and other requests: contact us using the method below.

RoozPace is designed for parents and caregivers to use. Accounts are created by adults, and information about a child is entered by the adult who is responsible for them.

The Services are not directed to children and children are not the intended account holders.

If we change this policy materially we will update the version and the “last updated” date, and pilot participants may be asked to review and accept the change again.
